KBWBS was created and sustained through many hours of volunteer support. We want to especially thank our founder, Dave Seaman for his steadfast years of leadership, Jim Lavrakas for our web development/maintenance and photography, Ryjil Christianson for photography, Tricia Lillibridge for our auction event, and Tricia Caron and Lindianne Sarno for their collective efforts on marketing - to name a few.

Kachemak Bay Wooden Boat Society
Our biggest event each year is the Wooden Boat Festival on the Homer Spit. Boats displayed, knot tying, riding boats in the lagoon, kids toy boat building, T-shirt/hoodie sale, chanty sing-a-longs, a big party with silent auction, and usually a speaker or two.
